digital rectal exam :- Adigital rectal examis done for men as part of a completephysical examinationto check theprostate gland. MRI- It is an advanced technique that uses radio waves and strong magnets to reveal a complete image of a targeted area of the body.This imaging test is particularly used to examine pelvic tumors, but it is also effective in outlining the tumor within the brain or spinal cord.

X-rays -The chest x-ray is performed only in women with advanced stages of cervical cancer in order to establish whether or not the cancer has spread to lungs.

Ultrasonography-- Ultrasonography is an ultrasound-based diagnosticmedical imagingtechnique used to visualize muscles, tendons, and many internal organs, to capture their size, structure and any pathologicallesionswith real time tomographic images.

Radionuclide scanning- A procedure that produces pictures (scans) of structures inside the body, including areas where there are cancer cells. Radionuclide scanning is used to diagnose, stage, and monitor disease.

3. Biopsy

Needle biopsy-Needle biopsy is a reliable methodof obtaining tissue samples that can help diagnose whether a nodule is benign (non-cancerous) or malignant.

Surgical biopsy- Unlike the needle methods described above, in a surgical biopsy, a surgeon makes an incision in the skin and removes some or all of the suspicious tissue. It is often used after a needle biopsy shows cancer cells, or it can be used as the first method to obtain tissue for diagnosis.

Pathology tests - this is the analysis of biopsy tissue.
