subject: Gay Relationship – and a straight man is a target [print this page] I am sure that all of you know what a gay relationship is and what it involves. The relationship requires that two men are engaged at least emotionally (sometimes sexually as well) with one another, but what happens when one of the partners is straight and the other one has quite the dilemma?
A gay person will have a crush on a straight person from time to time and the fact of the matter is that most of the times that gay person will attempt to talk to the straight person in order to clear things out. Now, from personal experience and seeing my friend being in such a situation, I have to say that it is pretty difficult for both sides. Again, this kind of situation usually appears between a group of friends and the problem is obviously larger in this case. So, what should you do and how should you manage this type of situation?
Basically, there is no way you are going to just keep the feelings for you because it is very normal to talk to the other person and tell them what you feel exactly. The problem is that you are probably going to have to deal with the likely rejection. I have actually managed to find statistics regarding this aspect, and on average, the gay person gets rejected in 99 cases out of 100. This is a pretty low chance of getting the desired answer. However, I think that the approach is probably the problem, not the fact that the straight person has a clear idea about any kind of gay relationship.
So, making sure that you are not going to suffocate the other person should increase the chances of success. There are men that fantasize about being with another person of the same sex (sex with gay ) and there are a lot of these people out there.
If the person you have developed feelings for is a close friend and this friend knows that you are gay you need to make sure that this friend is open minded and single. If they are currently in a relationship with a woman you will surely have a lot of problems dealing with kind of competition.
In the end you have to be yourself and maintain your dignity while expressing your honest feelings. There is no shame in rejection, but you can certainly do more to increase the chances of success.
