subject: 2 Easy Steps for Weight Loss [print this page] I am not here to say losing weight is neither easy nor hard to achieve. I do know that you don't need the latest miracle diet or weight loss pills to accomplish your goal. Simply start with these two little changes.
First, stay away from fructose corn syrup.
Fructose corn syrup blocks the brain receptors that tell your body whether or not you had enough to eat or not. More times than not, the end result are that one tends to overeat causing ourselves to gain a few extra pounds without being aware of it.
Also, these foods tend to drastically spike up your blood sugar levels. Unfortunately, if you keep this up, you may find yourself on the road to becoming a diabetic. Some examples of these types of foods include; chips, soda, candies, etc. These are more commonly known as "junk foods". Try to keep away from consuming these types of foods as much as possible, no matter how bad the temptation may be.
Secondly, try to eat smaller and more frequent meals.
In today's world, people devote the least amount of time to eating. Most people have three meals a day. Some get by with just two meals. In either case, believe it or not, this is one of the biggest ways to gain inches and pounds!
Look. In order to lose weight, you need to consume SIX smaller meals per day! Yes, SIX! Instead of eating three larger meals, simply split each of your meals into two and have a smaller meal at intervals of every three to four hours.
It may sound hard, especially for the working family, but there are three major advantages to eating smaller meals.
1. When you eat frequently, you will not be hungry at odd times during the day; therefore there is no reason to be snacking on "junk foods."
2. Your metabolic rate will continue to operate at a high level throughout the day, instead of up and down during the course of the day.
3. Your blood sugar levels will not spike up to high levels. Which this great if you're a diabetic!
If you can follow these two simple steps, you will be well on your way to permanent weight loss! Sure there are more things a person can do to help out the process such as finding and preparing the right foods to eat. Also, incorporating some type of physical activities into your lifestyle would not hurt either.
But, by following these steps, you will find yourself heading in the right direction to successful weight loss.
