The airport has all the modern facilities to offer. It also has one of the largest duty free shops inside the airport. The airport is located some 20 miles away from the city of TelAviv so you would need to take a taxi or train to get into the city. The taxi option is the most preferable one as it can take you directly to you location in the city.
Moving Around
Once inside the city renting a car is a good option. The city is full of modern freeways and you can use the car for sightseeing around the city. You can also take the bus for your visit as TelAviv has a modern and widespread public bus system. The bus services are safer and run from early morning till midnight. It is also advisable to hire a guide for your trip as it will help you see the most famous places in the city. A growing trend in the city is to commute on bicycles. With moderate weather around, you can move around by renting bicycles easily.
Major Attractions
One of the places that you should see on your visit is Old Jaffa; it is touted as one of the oldest places on earth. Then there is Rabin Square, the place where former Prime Minister Rabin was assassinated. You can also take a birds eye view of the whole city from the Azriely Lookout which is 200 meters high lookout in central TelAviv. During your visit, a dip into the beach during the summer months is recommended. You can set up a picnic here with outdoor cooking and music. The city also has various amusement parks and children would enjoy a visit to any one of them.
Food
The city has amazing eating out places. There are various fast food and traditional restaurants in the city which surely should not be missed. Cordelia, Orca & Messa are some of the most famous restaurants in the city. The city has a wide range of clubs and pubs which offer exotic music environments that will make you partying the whole night.
