January 8, 2000 The Buffalo Bills vs Tennessee Titans in the AFC Wild Card Game.The TItans lead the game by a score of 12-0 at halftime and appeared to be in control.In the second half, the Bills managed to come back. On Buffalo's first play of the thirduarter, Antowain Smith broke off a 44-yard run, part of a 62-yard drive that ended with his 4-yard touchdown run 4 plays later.
Later on, the Bills drove 65 yards, featuring a 37-yard throw from Johnson to Eric Moulds, with a penalty on Jevon Kearse for roughing the passer adding another 15. Smith finished the drive with another 4-yard touchdown run, giving the Bills a 13-12 lead after a failed attempt at a two point conversion after the touchdown.The game appeared to be over when Buffalo took the lead 16-15 with only 16 seconds left.
Titans coach Jeff Fisher drew up a plan on the Titans sideline for the upcomming kickoff.Fullback Lorenzo Neal fielded the kickoff and carried the ball to the 25 yard line.He then handed the ball to tight end Frank Wycheck who threw the ball to the opposite side of the field to a wide open reciever Kevin Dyson. Dyson went uncontested into the endzone.
The Bills immediately challenged the ruling on the field , saying that it was a forward pass.The video reply showed that Dyson was slightly ahead of Wycheck , however Dyson had to reach behind him to catch the ball and Wycheck had reach in front of himself to throw the ball.
Fisher and the Titans were victorious and went on to play in the superbowl vs the Rams.They came a yard short of scoring a game tying touchdown in the end of the game.The 2000 Superbowl was one of the most exiting of all time .The Titans look to get back to the superbowl this year with superstar players like running back Chris Johnson and Quaterback Vince Young.
