Our supermarket shelves are groaning under the weight of processed foods that are causing us to become overweight and unhealthy. When we eat these foods the chemicals and toxins in our body reach overload and cause all manner of metabolic disorders. Chemicals, preservatives, food coloring, artificial sweeteners, refined sugars and man made unhealthy Trans fats and even pesticide residues clog our bodies and overload the toxin removal pathways. The body tries to get rid of this pile up of junk by sticking as much as possible into the fat cells as far away from major organs like the heart as possible. Locked into fat cells a bit like unwanted nuclear waste means the body is safe...for now.This is why losing weight is so difficult and can be impossible. The body simply cannot risk these poisons being dumped back into the blood stream risking its own very health.It slows the metabolism and more fat cells are filled up to help dissipate the continual in- flood of toxins that have nowhere to go and are looking to cause mischief.The only way to lose weight and change this unhealthy situation that is going to end in tears somewhere down the track is do start eating 'clean'. This means processed foods have to go. White sugar, white flour and white rice have no place in a clean eating diet. Nor do foods that come in pretty boxes and packets that have little to zero nutrition. Microwave meals found in the freezer section of the supermarket also have to go. These foods are the culprits for your weight gain and will lead you down a road to poor health. Replace this awful stuff with whole natural foods. Things like quality grass fed beef, fish from the ocean and free range poultry and eggs. Vegetables still whole like a sweet potato, a tomato, a head of broccoli, fruit from a tree or vine and nuts and seeds still intact and raw. These things do not have food labels - they do not need them as they have no unhealthy ingredients that need stating on a label.Yes, they do require some preparation and cooking from scratch just like our mothers and grandmothers did. This is the healthiest way to eat so you stay slim and trim for life. Small meals every 2-3 hours throughout the day are the way to eat to lose weight for the long term. These meals each need a source of protein as the centerpiece then the side kicks are vegetables both raw and cooked. Take your meals with you in a small cooler when you leave home for the day so you will always have good stuff to eat.Getting healthy and losing weight this way is the easiest possible solution. You will experience no hunger and food cravings that cause you to overeat will eventually be eliminated when your body no longer craves the nutrients that you are not supplying it through poor food choices. You will be delighted at the way you feel and the way you look when you eat 'clean'.
