When To Hold-em or Fold-em In Your Online Home Business!
If you have ever played poker, then you know exactly what hold-em or
fold-em means. If you have never played poker, it means, if you think
you have a good hand, should you keep them, will it be beat out by
someone that has a much better hand, or should you quit while your
ahead and fold them.
Your online home business can become very overwhelming, just too much.
All your hard earned time and effort you put into it, seems for
nothing. You just have not made a profit at all. So should you
hold-em or fold-em, quit or continue?
Quit Your Business?
The saying goes, quitters never win and winners never quit. But is
there a time in your business that you should quit? I say, NO! But if
something you have been working on for months is not making you any
profit, then go on to something else. Just because you quit one
thing, does not mean you should quit it all together.
Find something new to start working on. Do a search on the internet
of what is working in advertising right now. Times are forever
changing and so are ways to advertise.
Every new project is fun and exciting to start, you think this is the
one that will make me money, and then you hit a dead end. Never give
up to soon, if it does not work in a day or two then keep trying. But
if after months of putting everything you have into it, and still no
profit, try something different.
Sometimes you may feel like your going up river without a paddle.
People are going to tell you, so paddle with your arms, kick with your
feet! Keep Going! Well, that may be all well and good, but if there is
no end to the river, then why waste all your energy?
The same goes for advertising in your online home business. Do not
keep going around in circles, thinking some day it may work, try
something new. Eventually you will be able to tell if something is
going to work or not and if you should hole-em or fold-em.
Reward or Give Up The Game?
Figure out if the reward you get for working your rear off is going to
be worth it or not. Is all the time you put into a certain type of
advertising really going to bring you the return on investment you
deserve?
If you have been making some progress in your advertising, then do not
give up to early in the game. Some things take longer than others, and
that goes with having your own online business too. You very rarely
will get success overnight, if at all. It takes time and a lot of
patience.
When you are working on your online business, never put all your time
and effort into one project, into one type of advertising. I know a
lot of companies that put all their money into Google pay per click.
Which is a short ad you put on Google and pay every time someone
clicks on your ad.
Well, Google went and shut thousands of ads down, no matter how much
the company was paying for their ad. If the ad had any type of income
claims or get rich quick scams, they got shut down. What happened to
those companies? Yep, no more advertising, no more money!
Never put all your eggs in one basket! It is ok to use pay per click,
but integrate other types of advertising into your online business
also. You can use, video marketing, article marketing, online
classifieds and also blogs.
So when one type of advertising is not working for your online home
business, learn if you should hold-em or fold-em, then go on to the
next, but Never Quit!
