subject: An Important Overlooked Benefit Of Global Sourcing [print this page]

Global sourcing has been made easy by the infrastructure that has been built up around it. However, it is still quite important to carefully select partners that are able to meet your needs and requirements.

A brand new factory is usually a good indicator of the type of end quality that will be produced. New factories mean the latest technologies, and that translates to a higher quality product. Yet, this does not factor in the human element. Factories do not run themselves, at least not yet, and that means that the people who populate those factors need to be experienced and ready to handle the global sourcing work that comes their way.

A new factory is great, but it is important that the workforce behind it isn't new. A China manufacturer, for example, have had time to work out their "bugs" and, in the process, have a real edge over many other global sourcing hotspots. All of these new factories do give the business looking to outsource an unexpected benefit, however. In particular, new factories means that someone, somewhere laid out a great deal of capital to make the new factory into a reality, and they obviously want to see that factory paid for as soon as possible. As a result, the new and repeat business that you bring will be seen as being quite valuable.

Another great reason to choose a newer factory is company motivation. New factory owners are willing to work hard for you. This means more motivation and even higher quality goods. They need your business just as much as you need their services. This leads to a mutually beneficial arrangement that works out well for everyone.

A new manufacturing facility is ideal for numerous reasons. One of the biggest is that a new manufacturing facility often means a very motivated factory owner. This can, in turn, translate into better deals, quicker turnaround times and more general flexibility. All of this adds up to yet another reason why global sourcing might just be right for you.
