If, on your mailer, you only talk about how you are the most technically advanced photographer, and you are referencing jpegs and f-stops and other technical jargon, and you tell them how beautiful the picture will be, you will not be interpreted as a better photographer than a competitor sending out large postcards with just a beautiful picture of a handsome couple with big smiles on their faces, the word photographer, and a phone number. Does that make sense? The picture speaks to the target market at a level they can easily interpret.
