Boat and Caravan Movers

Many people use boats or caravans for their holidays or for their lifestyle once they have retired. They may keep the caravan in the back shed and hitch it up whenever they feel the urge for some holiday fun. Or maybe they have a boat that they use for recreational fishing, skiing, or simply navigating around the many bays and inlets of the coastal areas.

If such a lifestyle appeals to you, the next most important thing on your list after buying the boat or caravan is to ensure you have a vehicle that will move it. A boat will need to have a trailer under it so that it can be safely towed to the water; a caravan needs to have a car or something similar that is strong enough to tow it along the road to your destination.

However there is one step that you may not have thought about between deciding to go off with the van or boat and hitching it onto the car, and that is actually getting the caravan or boat trailer in position to be hitched up to your car. There are times when you simply cannot back the car until the goose neck is positioned over the tow bar on the caravan.

Caravans and boats on trailers are heavy and although they are on wheels it is not always possible to shift them. And then you have to think what might happen if you do get them rolling. Maybe they will not stop, but roll to where you don't want them. They can be damaged in this process or do damage to other things.

The answer is to get a power mover. Caravan movers or boat movers are devices that attach to the boat trailer or caravan chassis by clamps or with an optional jockey post or ball hitch. It may have its own battery power or use a battery in the caravan. Drive rollers are positioned on or off the tyres and these are then operated by remote control to move the caravan or trailer in any direction. This is much better than straining your back in an effort to move it yourself.
