subject: Business Travel Has Specific Needs [print this page]

What if there was a better way for business travel? What if you needed to take your entire staff on a business trip and it was last minute? What if you just need absolute privacy and flying first class just isn't quite private enough? There are many reasons for executives and high officials to travel in a private fashion, but there are also reasons that can make it cost effective for more than just the top of the top.

When you sit back and look at the cost of bringing multiple executives and important shareholders and business associates together in one place or taking them all to one location, it makes sense to consider a private jet and a chartered flight. Not only do you get to travel in a more relaxed, private atmosphere; you can actually get something accomplished. If time is money, and everyone knows that it is, then lost time, even while traveling is costing your company money.

If you are not making money, then you are losing it and an upfront expense can often be well outweighed by the potential benefits. If you are wasting time in airports and on runways, standing in line and surrounded by no privacy, then you are not being productive. And a loss of productivity is a direct loss in revenue. It pays to think forward and to make even your travel time a benefit and productive.

There may be times when a commercial flight makes more sense. When making that decision, consideration must be given to the obstacles that are beyond your control. Chartering a jet allows you to minimize mostly all the obstacles confronted when traveling with a commercial flight. What are the considerations most important to you? If you and your staff have been working non stop getting ready for this meeting, the top priority may be an uninterrupted, restful flight that gives everyone a much needed rest so they can be at peak performance for this important meeting.

These are the big leagues and if you aren't going to step up to the plate and take a swing, you might as well be traveling in coach with the kids and families on their way to a vacation at the beach. The point is that there are many benefits to flying private and they can easily be justified in the right situation. There are benefits to flying either way, but for comfort and productivity, you can't do better than chartered
