At the start, they produce quick results, but these do not last and instead make you put on more pounds in the end. This is because fad diets only remove excess water and salts from your body, not the excess fat.

Exercise Routine

Next in line is your exercise routine. If you think that you cannot afford to go to the gym to exercise, do not worry, there are other ways for you to do so. Walking and stair climbing are effective forms of exercise which are cheap and easy to do.

In planning your exercise routine, you should not forget to add cardiovascular and strength training exercises. These two are very crucial in making your exercise balanced and beneficial.

Cardiovascular exercises are those that exercise the large muscle groups and the heart. They promote better blood circulation and help in building endurance. Exercises under this category include jogging, brisk walking, running, and stair climbing.

Meanwhile, Strength training exercises only work out specific muscles, like the biceps, triceps, among others. They help in building muscle mass, which is very helpful if you want to lose weight fast. This is because muscle burns fat, the more muscle you have; the faster you burn off the fat.

The two kinds of exercises should be done alternately to balance everything out. Do not forget to drink water, warm-up and cool down.
