Doing intervals on a piece of cardio equipment is great. You can get highly effective workout done in 10- 20 minutes. There is still one of issue that bother's . Although 20 minutes on a treadmill is a lot better than an hour. It's is still boring. Wouldn't it be better if we could do something with more excitement that could help us tone up. And still have the fat burning effective of interval training.

This is were tabatta interval training comes in. Instead of using machines, you use explosive and full body exercise to do short interval workout. Shorter than regular interval training. Yes, this workout will only take 4 minutes to do. The exercises are a lot more exciting too. You want to use full body or explosive exercises like burpie pushups, squats and press or anything that recruits a lot of muscles. I love mma, so I like to hit a heavy bag and kettle bell exercises like swings and snatches.

To perform this form of interval training, you'll want pick two exercise you like. Your going do one of them for 20 seconds then rest for 10 seconds. Followed by the second exercise for 20 sec then a 10 sec rest also. Then repeat for 4 minutes. Sounds easy right. Just try it. Remember the point is to absolute exhaust your self every 20 sec. interval. Which gets progressively harder to do when your only getting 10 sec rest in between exercise. Give this one a try and see how you feel after.
