It is set to perform at 8 p.m. Friday at the Bryce Jordan Center. Country artists Little Big Town, who has been selected for three Grammy's, and folk singer-songwriter Ellis Paul will open for Sugarland. It all began in Atlanta, Ga. as the brainchild of singer-songwriter Kristen Hall and folk-rocker Kristian Bush. After calling upon singer Jennifer Nettles to handle lead vocals, the trio formed Sugarland. Hall left the band in early 2006. Sugarland has previously played at the BJC as an opener for Brad Paisley in 2006 and was supposed to open for Keith Urban last May, until illness forced Nettles to stop singing for a few weeks.
