Different Types Of Online Video Conferencing Services

Internet video conferencing is a concept that is extremely significant for the majority of businesses. The reason for this is the fact that installing web conference software can result in the organization accruing multiple benefits from different directions. In fact, the benefits from using internet conferencing tools are so vast and subtle that the majority of them cannot even be quantified in monetary or even operational terms.

However, the benefits that can be quantified include improvement in the company's communications, better performance, more efficient operation, and satisfied customers, clients, suppliers, partners, shareholders and, of course, employees. Depending upon the needs of the organization or individual, there are four different types of internet video conferencing systems. The following are their descriptions.

1. Group internet video conferencing systems

These are those systems that allow a room full of people to communicate with another room full of people. This is done by the camera being located in such a manner that it captures all the participants in the room. Furthermore, the microphone used here is of the unidirectional variety and is placed in such a manner that it catches the voice of anyone in the room. These types of videoconferencing systems are mainly used by conference rooms or classrooms. Group internet video conferencing systems are also known as the integrated video conferencing systems.

2. Personal internet video conferencing systems

This is the most basic form of video conferencing system and caters to only one individual at a time. Owing to their basic nature, these systems can be and are usually installed on a personal computer. In fact, people use these types of video conferencing systems all over the world with the help of a meager webcam and headphones with a microphone. There are multiple types of web conference software available online that allow for personal video conferencing.

3. Telepresence internet video conferencing systems

These systems are the top end of the video conferencing systems because of the quality and convenience that they provide. These systems are particularly designed to mimic an actual conference room by way of crucially placed microphones and screens showing life sized images of all the participants. Since these systems are the best available in the market, they are also the costliest.

4. Set-top internet video conferencing systems

The set-top video conferencing system is the portable variant of video conferencing systems because it can be pulled all over an office. It is, basically, a monitor with a microphone installed on a trolley which can be taken to any room of the office and used by individuals.

Choosing the right internet conferencing tools can make a lot of difference with the performance of the systems. For example, installing a Telepresence video conferencing system for a small organization would be quite foolhardy because not many people will be using it. Similarly, a big organization depending upon just personal video conferencing systems will also find that its reputation and performance is falling consistently.
