Hundred Acre Wood Watches: Fun In Childhood And Adulthood

Children are the most wonderful gift one can receive, children to take care of and to whom you can pass on your values. There are also many other benefits to having children. One is that we were able to introduce the world of Winnie the Pooh to our child. We had read the books and seen the older movies we had grown up with, but we hadn't seen the more recent movies, including "Piglet's Big Movie" and "Pooh's Heffalump Movie."

Disney licenses all of the likenesses of A. A. Milne's characters from the Hundred Acre Wood including Christopher Robin, Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore, Rabbit, Owl, Kanga, Roo, and, of course, Winnie-the-Pooh. These images appear in beautiful artwork on wristwatch faces. Many of these watches are high-quality ones made for adults, not cheap, disposable ones made for kids. You can find watches with my favorite character, Tigger, the amazingly energetic tiger, who bounces about on his springy tail and always possesses a indefatigable "can do" attitude.

But there are watches for children that are also available, and you can find those that also are manufactured with quality and durability in mind. One kind of children's watch that is particularly useful is the "Time Teacher" watch. As the name suggests, it helps the wearer learn how to tell time. It has "hour" printed on the hour hand and "minute" printed on the minute hand. In addition, the minutes in five minute increments are labeled on the watch. These days with all of the digital clocks and watches in our surroundings, it is perhaps more difficult for a child to learn how to tell time on an analog clock. It is still necessary because there are still many analog clocks around. It is nice that there is a kind of watch that helps kids learn in a natural, everyday way that includes their favorite cartoon characters.

In my family we love the Winnie-the-Pooh books and movies. It's nice to be able to add the fun of the Hundred Acre Wood characters into our lives by buying items we can see and wear every day, such as watches. They add a little bit of fun to our daily lives.
