High Octane London Premier For Kerala Ad Movie!

The Kerala Tourism Department will be kick starting its high power global campaign to draw world tourists to the State with the UK release of a new promotional movie showcasing its natural splendour like never before. The movie conceived by Stark Communications, the board's brand agency and created by renowned film maker Prakash Varma will be premiered in a high profile event in London with the city's high flying socialites and page 3 crowd gracing the occasion.

The film promises to be a departure from the typical product specific campaigns associated with tourism board campaigns. Filmed with great sensitivity, it packs the languid beauty, the rawness, the sensual and spiritual flow of the land in a surreal halo.

A visibly excited Prakash Varma expressed that he is proud to be a part of a campaign that is promoting Kerala which is s super brand and a highly acclaimed destination which made him want to be a part of it straightaway.

The film will be co screened with 'Eat, Pray and Love' in all UK cinemas screening the much awaited and critically acclaimed Julia Roberts starrer. The Tourism department will roll out its global campaign in other destinations with a high potential to promote the tourism potential of the State like Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium and Switzerland while focussing on the fast growing domestic tourism segment after the gala premier at London.

The Tourism department's innovative campaign of wrapping 120 taxis in the UK with attention grabbing imageries of the State last year was a big hit in a country which accounts for 650,000 tourists to the State.

Kerala's growth in the world tourism scene has been phenomenal, a virtually unknown destination even a decade back it is a globally acclaimed tourist destination today with laurels such as

1.Rated one of the Ten paradises in the world by national Geographic traveller.

2.Serene Hills of Munnar rated as Asia's second best holiday destination after Tokyo.

3.Rated by Smarttravellerasia.com as the best Asian holiday destination

to its credit, with aggregate earnings of rupees 13,000 crores tourism is also the State's second highest revenue earner.
