10 useful travel advise

1: Ask! To gather information from others is obvious, but not always easy to unfamiliar speech. Although you must use body language, most of our nonverbal communication and can often provide more information than we think.

2: Valid passport? To have the little red book in order is so obvious that many forget to check the it before the date prior to check-in. U.S. authorities are not alone in refusing entry to passengers with a passports that aren't valid. NOTE: Some countries require that your passport is valid for six months ahead.

3: Have an alternative to credit cards. Take an extra credit card, traveler's checks or authorized foreign exchange in the country you travel to. U.S. dollar works virtually everywhere. A credit card can be lost, stolen, destroyed or become almost worse - suddenly not acceptable.

4: Drink water! Most of us do not drink enough H2O. Especially when you travel, the fluid is probably our best fuel. Better concentration is one of many reasons to drink water. Bring a water bottle when you travel or buy one that you can fill up.

5: Make new contacts. Not sure why, fellow passengers seem more willing to communicate than at other public meeting points. A trip is often where the most easily build up contacts and friends. Write down names, numbers and email addresses for future contact. This can in many cases very quickly pay off if you have practical needs of the country or city of your new contact is in.

6: Use earplugs. Noise is unwanted (high) sound, and can occur anywhere, anytime - whether you're sleeping in a tent in the jungle or hotel on the beach. Especially in the night hours, it's nice to be able to resist themselves from hearing disorders.

7: Not film (too much). Rather take more digital pictures. This advice has two motivational factors. Firstly, it is difficult to enjoy an experience or a place for you to shoot anything and everything of interest at any time - and not be present other than through the camera. This applies to the extent that the digital camera, but not equally. Second, it is much harder to edit and not least look at or show moving pictures afterwards. People are tired faster than long film features a series of selected images. If you shoot, you should use a digital camera for stills, clips and take a few seconds, where only the most important movements caught.

9: Book in advance.
