1. Be honest when you write up your dating profile on these sites.
While you do want to sell yourself in your online profile, you also don't want to come off with some too good to be true descriptions of yourself. Keep in mind that if all goes well for you, you are going to end up meeting her in person. So, if you deliver pizzas for a living, don't chalk yourself up as a lawyer clocking six figures a year. You don't have to go overboard when trying to sell yourself.
2. Realize that while chatting over the computer can be fun at first, you need to transition OFF the computer.
The computer should just be a place for you to meet women. You should not treat it like a crutch, where you can talk to women online just fine, but not be able to hold a face to face conversation with a woman. You need to be able to get her on the phone, meet her for a cup of coffee, just anything that you can do to get away from only talking to her online.
