subject: Master Cleanse Diet: Detoxifying You For Nothing? [print this page]

Master Cleanse Diet has been one of the many weight loss programs that we all know. It has been in the fad of removing weight with the use of fasting. This is a program where you need to fast for ten days and all you need to take is cayenne pepper, maple syrup, lemon juice, as well as water. In this program, it promises you that in the span of ten days, you will lose weight. However, it is just so impossible for you to starve for ten days and not eat foods after the duration of the program which makes more people think of it as a scam. So, is Master Cleanse a Master Scam?

The main component of the Master Cleanse Diet is water. For the most part, it is an essential element that we need to survive. But considering that all you have to take for ten days is water is somewhat awkward owing to the fact that it is not composed of nutritional value.

There is also the maple syrup which makes people not starve since it is carbohydrates. Of course, this is composed of sugar making you feeling satisfied, for a moment. And there is lemon juice. So what is in lemon juice which makes it important? The truth is there is none. There is also cayenne pepper which only irritates the lining of your GI.

In total assessment, such combinations are associated to be like a laxative. Also the greater question that will arouse our doubt is that if laxative is a misguided diet, then why should we take it? Yet, the only benefit that we can get out of the Master Cleanse Diet is the fact that it will make us hydrated that in turn will also make our skin beautiful.

There is also the question when it comes to the detoxifying power of Master Cleanse Diet. It has been known that we get toxins from the environment and from what we eat. More so, our body has also the mechanism of making such toxins to be removed from our body.

However, there are those toxins that can only be removed by technologically-advanced gadgets. And considering Master Cleanse Diet is that there are no proven proofs which make it do away with the toxins in the body. And with such, it is very much obvious that Master Cleanse Diet is a master scam.
