What Items Are Couriers Barred From Transporting?

Couriers cannot just take anything that a customer wants to ship with them and automatically take it wherever they are requested to ship it too. In fact, a Boston courier service might have a very long list of items that they are not allowed to transport. First of all, no courier is going to move anything which it is illegal to possess or move, and they are very careful about ensuring that no one misrepresents the contents of a package in order to do so. In the past people have tried to ship such illegal items as weapons and drugs with courier companies, but couriers have become very canny about finding ways to scan for such items to ensure that their services are not abused in any way.

A Boston Airport courier might have even more restrictions on the things that they will transport, especially if they are moving things on board a flight with an in flight courier. This has less to do with individual courier regulations and more to do with the rules that airlines have about what can and cannot be carried on an airplane. A perfect example of this is how if you have adequately sealed a package that contains a liquid of some kind you can still ship it with a courier company on the ground, but airline rules would prevent that type of shipment from being sent on an airline.

There are also many regulations which govern the types of materials that can be sent across international borders, especially if you are shipping in larger quantities. These again don't have anything to do with the courier companies themselves, but with them being prohibited due to the law from transporting certain goods unless they have the clearance and permits for import expert license under certain trade agreements such as NAFTA. If you are shipping anything that you feel may be questionable as to whether or not the courier company can transport it legally, the best thing that you can do is consult with someone at the courier company as soon as possible in order to get a ruling on whether or not you can ship your goods with the courier. Otherwise, you could find yourself placing a request for a shipment and then end up getting a bad call from the courier after they have picked up your package only to realize that they're going to have to return it to you due to their restrictions.
