Spain is well known for its laid back and easy going culture, which when combined with its great weather, makes it the ideal place to spend summer and relax. Although Spain has plenty of places which are bustling and hectic you will find Benalmadena is somewhere you can truly expect to unwind and recharge those batteries.
Many people may not be too aware of where or what Benalmadena is when mentioned by name although the place is very popular with families over summer. The easiest association to its location is because it is located within the Costa del Sol which is along the south coast of Spain.
I like to enjoy the summer, summer, summer time somewhere in Spain where there is plenty of sea air to breath and even more rays of sun to make each day bright and wonderful. Aside from the happy, happy feel good factor the fact there is plenty of stuff to get up, if you just want to kick it at the beach, then that's cool too. This much is really true as those 'knock off Nigel's' which patrol the promenade at various points during the day at night can be somewhat of a hassle, but thankfully Benalmadena has made great strides towards eliminating that factor.
If you've been elsewhere in the Costa del Sol at all it will come as little surprise that it is one of Spain's most beautiful regions, I kid you not. Picture this, in the background you have tall mountains that spread for miles which lead down through the towns and resorts until they reach the coast which is miles long full of golden sands and shallow turquoise waters. If you can think of anything better then I suggest you go there, but not before trying Benalmadena of course.
Choices are good and at least we have them, though if I was left with the shores in Benalmadena then I wouldn't be complaining too much. If my humble opinion isn't enough to sway the majority of you then I have to say thank you very much to the minority out there! Benalmadena is certainly somewhere you should consider for this summer or next, especially if you are travelling with the whole family.
