I’m trying to understand how insurance coverage works for exercise-based rehabilitation after an injury. A physical therapist recommended a corrective exercise program as part of my recovery, but I’m not sure whether something like this is normally considered part of physical therapy or treated as a separate fitness service. Has anyone had an insurance provider cover this type of program? I’d especially appreciate hearing how you checked your benefits or what questions you asked the insurer before paying out of pocket.
