I just finished my first draft and now everyone's pointing me toward editing services but I honestly don't know where to start or who to trust. There are so many options, and prices vary wildly. So I'm asking here which book editing services actually improved your manuscript in ways you couldn't see yourself, and how did that editor communicate with you throughout? Where do most authors overpay or undersell their work? Real experiences welcome, please
