Hi, I started my journey to Spain with a peaceful moment at San Francisco International Airport (SFO) Smoking Area. Even though I didn't stay long, I was able to slow down and absorb the reality of what was happening by being there prior to boarding. It was thrilling to travel alone, but there was definitely some anxiety involved. I couldn't stop thinking about what lay ahead: new routines, new locations, and learning how to handle things on my own. I felt little and somehow connected as I observed the travellers around me, each with their own purpose and backstory. I was able to calm my thoughts during that little break. I felt more at ease by the time I made my way back to the gate.
