I'm considering an upgrade to our old vertical sand mills because they're too large for their output with the current demand. I'm looking into Horizontal Bead Mills as replacements. The specs indicate that they will perform better with high viscosity pastes than vertically produced products and produce a more uniform particle size than vertically produced products. For those of you running horizontal mills, do you notice a significant increase in production rate from vertical mills? I need to support my proposed purchase as justification to management, and any comparisons will be useful to me.
