You might even squeeze in a visit to Tian'anmen Square and the Temple of Heaven if you stay at Jinjiang Inn's Beijing hotel! The facilities are basic but very clean, and staff are highly courteous.

This Beijing Hotel is hardly a 'commune' - it is actually a modern 4-star resort overlooking the Great Wall of China. 12 Asian architects worked together to create the resort in Beijing - hardly a Beijing budget hotel, but you do get free upgrades based on availability every time you stay here, a free tour of the collection of villas on your first stay at this Beijing hotel, and free mini bar. You can hike to the Great Wall from here - but this Beijing accommodation will make much more of an impact on your wallet than Jinjiang Inn!
The Sheraton Great Wall Beijing
Don't be fooled by the name of this Beijing hotel ... located in Chaoyang district of Beijing, it is actually further from the Great Wall than Jinjiang Inn's Beijing budget hotel in Haidan! It is a lovely stay, however, with quite uniquely designed, colourful rooms, a huge range of on-site restaurants, and easy access to Beijing's other cultural attractions.
Hillside Haven at Mutianyu Great Wall
This Beijing accommodation is fully self-contained, and a world away in pricing and value from the fabulous Beijing budget hotels like Jinjiang Inn. You have direct views of the Great Wall from this house, which is nestled on the flank of a hill and far cooler than Beijing city in the summer - a great choice of Beijing accommodation if you're visiting the great Wall in the hotter months.
