Wedding toasts & speeches have been traditionally accepted and practiced. Individuals have typically practiced giving speeches and toasts during the rehearsal dinner and the wedding reception. The order of wedding speeches is also been traditionally followed. Following the correct order of wedding speeches is vital.

All wedding speakers must prepare their speeches in advance. Otherwise, the flow of giving speeches can become chaos and complicated. It will cause to make the situation embarrassing for the newlyweds among their visitors. To avoid this from happening, the happy couple must assign somebody to coordinate with the speakers before and during the wedding. He will be in charge to advice the speakers to get ready for their speeches. Assigning somebody to be the master of ceremonies is imperative to avoid chaos.

The first speaker who must render his speech is the father of the bride. He's the opportunity to welcome every guest from his relatives to his daughter's friends and the groom's family. In his speech, he has to highlight numerous things about the bride, who is his daughter. He also needs to welcome the groom with a toast. After him, the groom's father takes the turn to deliver his speech. He has to focus more about his son and welcome the bride to their family. Proposing the first two toasts is offered by the fathers of the newlyweds.

The next speaker will be the groom. The main content of his wedding speech is about the bride. He shares stories about them, tell testimonies about her wife and vow promises to her. He is expected to thank everyone and recognize some people including his parents for their support. Then he will propose a toast as a way to celebrate the moment. Impressing his bride by making her feel special and important is the main goal of the groom during his speech.

The subsequent speakers are the best man and the maid of honor. The couple choose their best man and maid of honor from among their closest friends or siblings. Hence, they both emphasize more about the groom and the bride. Asking your friends or siblings to be the best man and maid of honor in your wedding is a huge privilege for them.

And lastly, the bridal speech finalizes the speech and toast moment. The bride talks about her husband and her appreciation toward her parents. She also should thank their wedding guests for their presence and support. Closing the bridal speech is normally sentimental and memorable.
