Mayurasana is the best exercise to awakening the Kundalini Shakti.

It's best asana for buttress arms, shoulders, stomach and back. Because of the increased pressure on the stomach the blood is directed to the digestive organs, energizing and toning the liver, pancreas, stomach, bowels and spleen. This is a superb asana for improving digestion.

In this pose blood is concentrated and sent to the digestive organs and which is toned up by the intra-abdominal pressure.

The Mayrasana ( Peacock Posture ) provides exercise to all the parts of the body. In the texts of Hathayoga Mayurasana is highly feted for its power to brighten up the abdominal fire ( jatharagnt ) so that one can digest even poison.
