subject: Diet To Follow For Fibroids [print this page]

In many ways, the diet to follow for fibroids has great similarities to the principles of a generally healthy diet which you might follow. However, there are specific guidelines and recommendations which can really help a woman with fibroids.

Of course, changing what you eat is not, on its own, going to be the solution to all your fibroid problems. Fibroids form due to a multitude of primary and secondary factors which subtly interact to cause fibroids to develop. It is only by addressing these other causes in combination with changing your diet that you can have a life changing result. However, as an inappropriate diet is believed to be a primary causal factor, then it is indeed a great starting point if you are looking at ways to shrink your fibroids.

First of all, when considering a diet to follow for fibroids, the first principle is to use your common sense. When it comes to portion sizes and calories, moderation is the way forward, even if your weight is within the healthy range. Overloading the body with too much digestive work can detract from other important functions.

A diet to follow for fibroids should consist of organic foods wherever possible and there are good reasons for this. Firstly, there is evidence to suggest that estrogen mimicking compounds can become "locked" in the liver, and these are derived from pesticides used on non-organic foods. Next, artificial hormones are sometimes used to increase production of meats and dairy produce and their ingestion can disrupt our own hormones, causing imbalances in the body which are a contributory factor for fibroids.

Lean meats and fish are great in moderation. You should ensure that the meat is organically farmed and the fish free from contamination. Fruits and vegetables are an essential inclusion in the diet to follow for fibroids. However, if you are prone to candida, eat sugary fruits and starchy vegetables in moderation. Green leafy, sprouting and non-starchy vegetables can be eaten freely. If possible, you should try to ensure that around 70% of your diet consists of raw foods.

Dairy products, refined carbohydrates, processed foods, fizzy drinks, alcohol, caffeine and trans fats should not be consumed at all.

There are, of course, other steps you can take to shrink your fibroids in conjunction with eating the right kinds of foods.

Written by a former fibroid sufferer, the system you are about to see is, quite simply, groundbreaking, and I am confident that you will feel relief that you have finally found something that will genuinely help you get rid of your fibroids.
