So, how do you achieve that woman attracting, life-enhancing look without having to take a stroll down to Jermyn Street?

Make sure you have a sharp, clean razor and a good quality shave gel or oil

First of all, leave the razor in a sink full of hot water for fifteen minutes (this is not advisable if you are using an electric razor). This will moisten the blade, helping to prevent any unsightly cuts, and enhancing your look!

Once the razor has been warmed, your face needs to go through a similar process. Washing your face with hot water will allow the hairs to stand up on end, enabling a closer and more comfortable shave. In an ideal world, a hot damp towel held against the face for a couple of minutes is perfect.

Now it's time for the shaving gel or oil! The gel, which is applied to the face before shaving, softens the hair, moisturises the skin, and prevents the razor dragging along the skin; which could potentially create an uncomfortable razor burn. When shaving, don't forget to rinse the razor with warm water after one or two strokes, to prevent it getting clogged with hair. Also try and make as many stokes as you can away with the growth of the hairs - you want to avoid shaving upwards if possible.

Once you've shaved, rinse your face with cold water as this protects and heals the skin and also closes the pores. It's also advisable to use a sesitive post shave balm to cool the skin and help restore natural oils removed from the skin whilst shaving.
