Camps Bay is definitely one of the best beaches to visit while in Cape Town. It is not as refined as its neighboring beach, Clifton, but it definitely has its advantages, such as the ample parking bays and its accessibility. Clifton can only be accessed by steep, narrow, winding staircases, making it impossible for anyone with a disability to access this beach.

Across the road from Camps Baybeach are a selection of fine restaurants and bars that are well known for their cocktails and cocktails make the best sundowners.

One side of Camps Bay provides good surf for wave riders, but there are not so many surfboards in the water that swimming becomes hazardous, unlike Muizenberg beach on the opposite side of Cape Town. Waves do tend to be choppy on one side of the beach, but rocks on the other side of the beach allow for some protection.

There is a variety of Camps Bay holiday accommodation available and it is situated in the perfect location for holiday makers as the Camps Bay rentals are just 10 minutes drive away from Cape Town city center and all of the attractions that it offers. Cape Town is known for it's buzzing nightlife, which is mostly concentrated in the city center, it also has a variety of shopping experiences that range from the up market V&A Waterfront to local crafts sold at markets and on the side of the road.

The only downsides of staying in a Camps Bay resort is that the water might be colder than visitors expect as it travels directly from the South Pole. Originally called the Cape of storms, it is possible that winds will be blowing or that the weather will be overcast and the beach does tend to get crowded in the summer, any time from October to March.
