subject: Celebrate The Colors of Fall For Your Wedding [print this page]
Fall is one of my favorite times of the year. The beauty of the colors, the cool crisp air and the smell of Pumpkin Bread cooking just sets a tone for an amazing season. Colors in contrasting orange, burgundy, yellow, brown; gold and others are amazing master pieces of art that was designed by the creator of the world. Getting inspiration for wedding or event ideas during this time of year isn't difficult.
Sometimes, it takes time to find inspiration when planning weddings or special events. How does one get inspired with ideas for colors and themes for events you ask? It begins with the five senses that we are blessed with. Using our sight, the smells that we love, food that tastes amazing, sounds that we hear and textures that we feel can all lead to amazing wedding colors and themes.
For example, during the Fall season, sometimes all you have to do is walk out your back door and look at your surroundings. The beautiful colors can assist with the color palette, the smells of Fall can assist with the food and beverage, the cool refreshing evenings and glorious sunsets makes it easy to come up with themes. Things that are closest to the heart and invoke memories are often the greatest inspiration for Fall weddings.
A previous bride that I worked with adored Santa F, New Mexico. She loved the colors of the Southwest and wanted to involve them in her wedding. When one thinks of Santa F, the colors that come to mind are adobe, peach, tan, turquoise, green just to mention a few. Becoming creative and bringing in the memories of Santa F, the wedding was amazing with beautiful touches of the Southwest all around. It was a memory that was savored in more than one way.
So, if you are planning your wedding and can't decide on a color scheme or a theme, sit down and think of the memories that you cherish. Using your five senses, take those memories and transform them into the wedding or event of your dreams. This will not only give you a beautiful wedding, but a unique wedding that represents YOU.
