subject: 3 Things To Look Out For When Purchasing A Beat Maker [print this page]

Many people today aspire to be hip hop music producers or great and skilful DJs who can churn out deadly beats for the enjoyment for everyone at grand parties. The main problem though, is that it can sometimes really get pretty expensive for one to set up their own recording studio - every piece of equipment can easily cost up to a few thousand bucks, if not more.

Luckily for the most of us though, technology has advanced pretty fast throughout the years, and there are now great quality beat making programs out there that can easily emulate a real recording studio and be able to produce sounds or beats of the same quality without a real recording studio. But before you go ahead and purchase such beat making software, there are 3 criteria you might want to bear in mind while shopping for one:

1) The software should be cheap and affordable

This should be a no brainer, for if the software costs up to a few hundreds or a thousand, what would be the point of purchasing it when one could easily buy a piece of music recording equipment for the same price? You can get most of the great, quality beat making software out there today for less than a hundred bucks, so if you are paying more than a hundred for them - you are definitely getting ripped off!

2) The software should come with hundreds of pre-loaded quality sound kits

It is very important that the beat making software comes with hundreds, if not thousands of pre-loaded quality sound kits. I am pretty sure that you all would have faced times where there seemed to be a great beat idea in your head, but you just seem to be unable to get it down. With a huge library at your disposal, one can just sift through the beats for ideas and also try to mix and match them to get the correct beats they are actually looking for!

3) The interface of the software should be intuitive and easy to use

Lastly, it is also of extreme importance that the beat making software is easy and simple to use. After all, we are aspiring beat producers and not software programmers right? It would definitely defeat the purpose of us purchasing beat making software if we had to learn a completely new skill just in order to use them!
