3. Heredity. It is not out of the ordinary among women to feel the effects of hair loss in their 60's. But some with a family course of baldness may begin losing hair in as early as their lower twenties and even teen years. Breakthroughs in hair technology paved the way for specialized hair treatments, although results may vary contingent on certain physiological aspects.

4. Poor diet and vitamin deficiency. Some women have the tendency to go on a strict diet in pursuit of a slimmer figure. Under the circumstance, nutrients that are necessary for healthy hair growth are not absorbed by the body. A daily supplement of Vitamin E, fatty acids, and fish oils may be recommended.

There are more causes of hair loss in women, and consultation with a dermatologist can be a great help. Even though hair loss treatments may be commercially at hand, this does not mean that they should be used without consultation from an expert. It is perfectly okay to spend a little time or even money on information that is worth knowing. Stay away from making impulsive decisions when looking for a treatment. The best action to take is to learn about the causes first and then look for remedies. As the antique saying goes, 'better be safe than sorry'.
