Wedding Speeches From The Bride

Perhaps one of the happiest days in a woman's life is her wedding day. A wedding joins two souls in the Sacrament of Matrimony, and the couple vows to stay together through all of life's ups and downs. Now, it is not traditional for the bride to speak at a wedding reception, but for those of you who want to break the tradition, here is one among many examples of wedding speeches from the bride.

You may come up with a simple introduction to your speech as in Good afternoon. While it is not traditional for the bride to speak, I thought it only right that I start married life by thanking the people who helped us get to this point.

As the bride, your speech should include words of gratitude for your family, relatives, friends, and other guests who have shared that joyous occasion with you and your husband. Give them a warm welcome to your wedding reception, and tell them how much you appreciate their presence. You may say something that goes like this I am happy and delighted that all of you found the time to join us here today. Our wedding wouldn't have been complete without our closest friends and family to share it with. My husband and I are overwhelmed by your kindness and generosity.

After saying your thank you's, you may proceed with a brief narration of how your romance blossomed or simply a sincere declaration of how happy you are on your wedding day. Your speech can include words like This is the happiest day of my entire life. In fact, from the moment that we got engaged, I've been thinking about this wedding. I wanted every single thing to be perfect, and it was. Everything is simply how I imagined it to be. And my groom, well, I'm lucky to have him. They say that you don't marry someone you can live with. Rather, you marry the person who you cannot live without. This is certainly true with my wonderful husband. I cannot imagine life without him. Especially not now.

You may even address your husband directly by telling him just how much you love him in front of all your guests. You may go all out with expressing your feelings. You are excused from being mushy or cheesy; it is your wedding anyway. To my dear husband, know that I love you with all my heart. That will never change. I must be the luckiest person on earth because I know that we're going to have an amazing life together.

Lastly, wedding speeches from the bride end with a final thank you.
