How To Choose The Perfect Wedding Dress

The center of the wedding is the wedding dress. A girl dreams about her beautiful wedding dress up until that point. It has to be ultra special and most of all it has to accentuate her beauty. Always take someone along when shopping for a wedding gown, because you will want some honest opinions about how they look on you.

The Wedding Theme

The first thing you want to do is consider the theme of your wedding before choosing the dress. Wedding themes can be anything from formal to casual and all in between. You could choose a time-theme, like a roaring twenties theme, or a cowboy theme, Southern Belle theme. Whichever theme you choose will determine the style of dress you will need to fit the theme.

Fit Your Shape

Body shape has a lot to do with which style would look best. You want to enhance your natural features and cover up the things you don't like. If you are small chested you will want a bodice that can accentuate, like a ruched style or a halter top style that is padded. If you are opposite and busty you can show off this nice feature with a low scoop neckline or a strapless with a sweetheart neckline. Don't choose shiny fabrics if you are busty. A tall lady doesn't need to draw more attention to her body so keep it simple. But if you choose formal floor length, choose one with a sweeping hem. A petite lady looks good in a high waistline gown. If you have a definite shape here's some pointers:

Plus-sized body will look good in an Empire dress that is high waisted and well-fitting. Also an A-line gown does nicely. If you have a straight-lined body you can wear a sheath dress that can emphasize your curves. Try a ball gown that has a cinched waist with a flowing full skirt.

A pear-shaped body looks good with a dress that fans out at the feet. This minimizes the hips and thighs. Choose spaghetti-straps and a V-neck to place emphasis on the chest.

An apple-shaped body needs to wear a well-fitting bodice that fans out at the feet. A V-neckline will help to draw the eye up and down instead of across. When trying on the dresses, move around in them. Twirl and walk and sit and stand to see how it will feel on your wedding day. You will want to feel comfortable in your gown.

Wedding Dress Fabric

Obviously you wouldn't want a light and airy fabric for a winter wedding, neither would you want velvet and heavy for a summer wedding. Choose the fabric according to the season. Ultimately it is the small details that transforms a simple dress into a beautiful wedding gown. Having embroidery or beadwork can help draw attention to certain areas.Above all, when you find the perfect wedding dress you want one that YOU like and one you believe your groom will love as well.

Keep in mind the above tips on choosing the perfect one and you will look stunning on your wedding day.
