Holidaying In Cornwall With Your Pet

It is near impossible to define the bond that develops between a person and a pet. Especially when it comes to our dogs, they are not pets, but members of the family. That is why for many, the notion of travelling without this beloved pet, cannot even be imagined. They would rather not go on holiday than trust strangers with their pets. Many accommodation providers understand this bond and cater to pets as well. Cornwall is an ideal holiday destination if travelling with your dog. Its miles of coastlines and moors make it perfect for dog walking and playing. Many of the beaches are dog friendly too. There are cottages in Cornwall that are pet friendly. These are good options to choose as they allow a homelike atmosphere, even while on holiday. If it is your pets first time travelling, then having you close at hand is essential.

With its rugged beauty Cornwall is a doggie paradise. It offers miles and miles of lovely walks and open spaces. Plus playing on the soft sand of a beach and plunging into the sea is what doggy dreams are made of. As the master you too will be more relaxed as you are in a location that welcomes your pet. Choosing a dog friendly cottage will allow you the freedom to be with your pet, without hassling others. You can feed your dog its favourite food and go for walks whenever the fancy hits. If you choose a beachside cottage then the two of you can start you day early, with beach walks. If you are travelling with your family and pet then a cottage accommodation is a must. Most cottages either have gardens or have access to amazing walks. Choose a dog friendly cottage that has a garden or nearby picturesque wood. This way outdoor fun can be guaranteed for the kids and the dog.

Before travelling, read up on dog policies and on the rules and regulations. Whether the leash needs to be of a certain length and whether dogs are actually allowed to roam around public areas unleashed. Having prior knowledge on such matters will ensure the holiday is smooth and incident free. Usually with a cottage stay there are no unnecessary pet policies or complications. This is why more dog owners opt to stay in cottages and enjoy a peaceful holiday.
