subject: Global Domains International - An Inside Look [print this page]

Global Domains International can best be reviewed from the interior.

Back in late 2004, Global Domains International ( GDI for short )

was hot. It was just $10.00 a month to be involved so the price was

right....

After seeing the ads flying around for

about a month

online, I decided to join in Feb of

2005. As it turns out, I was unwaged at the time so a 10 greenback

program was highly tasty. Once I

signed on, I straight

away went to work. I had been in a

few other internet promotion

programs during the past, so I started off

approaching the people that I had

met while working those programs.

Global Domains International? So what is the Product?

For your $10.00 each month you received a few things :

1. The registration of a .WS domain. You could put an internet site there or forward it to another

website. According to them :" .WS is a worldwide accessible top level domain

that works just like .COM and .NET. Anyone,

anywhere, can register a .WS domain and create a

personal internet address for life."

2. You've got to take part in an income making opportunity.

For every person that joined you or your group in Global

Domains International inside a depth of 5 levels you

would receive $1.00. Yeah I know..Not too horny or exciting but over a period of time it

could add up.

3. You were given One hundred MB of

storage space for your internet site, hosting, and any related files. I didn't know this

until a few individuals began to protest about it, but

One hundred MB was pretty freakin tiny. One area

where GDI truly could have cleaned

up and provided better service would be to have an upsell where somebody could get more space on their servers.

***Note*** GDI now has this higher level of service for $40.00 per month and calls it

Premium. It is possible to get 1 GB of space for

storing.

How Did I Get the word out about Global Domains International aka

GDI?

That may be a funny story...

I almost certainly

signed up my first 3 people from a pool of

people I had been in other deals with but

then ..... I was on my own almost...

I had formerly been in another

opportunity where my sponsor was a woman from the

Phillipines and she was good at many things. However what

she was best at was the art of spamming folk. So

..that's what I did. GDI had this particular tool called the

Invitation System.

You might put a person's name and e-

mail in there ( up to Fifty at a time ), hit a

button, and send them a mail with a tiny selling cartoon that would put

their name into it.

Now the catch was that you were supposed to

either know these folk or have received their

permission to Invite them. Ha

Ok...Sure...

It was slick... And we were too. My sponsor and I were both PC programmers so we wrote this programme

that would take an inventory of leads, pop them into

that invitation form, and hit the send button. With that

approach, the leads and sign ups started to roll on in.

Later, a fellow named Randy Thomas created the

Bulk Mailer. We could buy leads with ip addresses, load those up,

and the system would e-mail them on a

regular basis. At the top of my participation with Global Domains International, I had

a group of 798 people.

That was a far as it went because I was not a Web marketing pro with any

skills at this point and the big clamp down on spamming was occurring.

GDI basically started to cancel folk who were actively spamming to

market.

What's the Final Word on Global Domains International?

I think that Global Domains International ( GDI ) is

still superb opportunity with a top product that is in demand. I am very

much in favour of opportunities with different price

points so that everybody has an

opportunity to earn on the internet.

There are individuals who are earning

fabulous incomes in Global Domains

International today and I continue to receive a $125.00

remaining from it every month

although I've not actively

worked it in Six years.
