subject: Get Smitten By The Gorgeous Waves Of Paria [print this page]

Nature replicating itself is a rare sight to behold and when it happens in a country full of traveling opportunities, varied landscape and food options that cater to a wide range of pallets, the traveler in you knows that you got to explore it. And what better way that to do that at your own pace while driving rental cars across the land.

Known as the Waves of Paria, what sets this natural beauty apart from anything you might have seen so far is its wave like formation that makes you guess whether its the beach water that gone brown or it is a wide canvas that God painted in leisure.

Whatever and however you see it, Waves of Paria are gorgeous settings for more than just exploration. Yes, its a true delight for photographers and people looking for seclusion. Take a hike and find yourself shrouded with natural beauty. For photographers, the location offers some juicy opportunities with rich brown against the blue skies. The shutterbug in enthusiasts would never feel jaded here. There are exciting structures at almost every step you take forward or backwards.

The Waves of Paria are located near Utah and Arizona border, on the Colorado Plateau. The entire area is rife with twisted sandstone replicating twin butts, butterflies, eagles and what not. The structures seem to be straight out of the real life and hung there as museum curios. And if structures are not enough, nature blesses this place with rich iron deposits that lend it multiple hues and colors. The rainbow of colors lends the many structures rich yellows, reds and pinks. In fact the colors are so bright that chances are you would spot many while driving to the spot in rental cars.

Just remember to apply for permits since very few are issued at a time. Once you get them issued and want to find secluded places, drive your rental cars straight to Coyote Buttes which are nearby.

Your trail would begin at Wire Pass Trailhead, which is about 8.3 miles south of US 89 along House Rock Valley Road, which is a dirt road located about 35.4 miles (57.0 km) or 38.6 miles (62.1 km) east of Kanab, Utah. Reaching there is extremely easy around the year by road. And it adds to the entire expedition feel as well.

If you are visiting USA, you can get in touch with America Car Rental and rent cars for a lovely drive and kick start your once-in-a-lifetime encounter with natures gorgeous canvas. Dont forget batteries to capture each and every sight. You would surely come back overwhelmed.
