subject: October Is Breast Cancer Awareness Month [print this page]

October is breast cancer awareness month and I am thankful for the organizations which are raising money, raising awareness, and searching for a cure. I know that the intentions behind these foundations are pure and altruistic, but I don't understand why after an investment of over 1.5 billion dollars and nearly 30 years of research, we are at the same place. Women are still dying from breast cancer and most of them are using conventional western medical treatment. According to the American Cancer Society, about 1.3 million women worldwide are diagnosed with breast cancer annually and approximately 465,000 women die from the disease. In the United States, about 1 in 35 women dies from breast cancer. These statistics are heart retching and frustrating, but there is hope. I want to talk to you about some amazing survivors who fought their breast cancer with whole raw vegan foods and won!

The founder and director of, Living Foods Institute, Brenda Cobb, overcame early stages of breast and cervical cancer without conventional drug treatments and surgery by following a raw vegan food diet.

Helen Hecker is a registered nurse and author who was diagnosed with invasive, infiltrating intraductal breast cancer. She is one among many, doctors, nurses, and healthcare workers who refused conventional western medical treatments for cancer. Helen Hecker turned down all the conventional treatment her doctors insisted on; heavy-doses of chemotherapy, radiation, surgery and five years of Tamoxifen.

"I immediately knew what I was going to do - STOP EATING DEAD COOKED FOODS and start eating living plant foods- foods that are ALIVE not dead!"

That's exactly what she did and her cancer disappeared. Ms. Hecker's experiences are documented in her book, My Raw Food Diet Cure and Secrets!

Unbeknownst to her, Danish MD, Dr. Kristine Nolfi was probably one of the first pioneers of a raw foods diet right next to Dr. Ann Wigmore. Dr. Nolfi used whole raw foods to overcome breast cancer back in the 1940s. She wrote about her experience in her book, Living Food, which unfortunately is currently out of print.

"Living food will live, will be spread all over the whole world, and will help to save suffering humanity from all diseases, both of body and mind, and thereby create one world!"

~ Kristine Nolfi, appr. 1952, Copenhagen, Denmark

We need to get busy. There's a cure. Please, pass this information on to all the woman in your life.
