Vietnam Holidays In Dalat, Your Eternal Spring

If you are looking to get away from the bustle of cities, to enjoy the tranquility, the simple country life and the remains of a unique culture, Dalat stands as the most important option for this in all of Vietnam. Just a few hours from Ho Chi Minh City and with spectacular scenery, set in Lam Dong province, the town offers visitors the delights of its most dazzling sites, almost all built by the French.

Dalat is a resting place since times immemorial. It was for the French in times when Indochina was their colony. It was also the favorite retreat for the Emperor Bao Dai. Precisely those buildings made up the sovereign and by the French some of the architectural gems that the city shown as its most attractive attributes.

In the Summer Palace of Emperor Bao Dai, for example, you may find interesting works of art and household objects of great value. Then it is recommended a walk through the old French Quarter, and after that, visiting the famous Valley of Love, located just five kilometers to the north of Dalat, where it is lovely to enjoy a sunset sailing on the lake in rowing boats.

For those who like to enjoy daily walks in the countryside, it offers the possibility of riding on horseback or on bicycles. The town also transcends for its crowded cafes.

Popular among local tourists and honeymooners, in Dalat you can stay in cheap hotels with comfortable rooms. That is the case of the Golf 1 Dalat Hotel, located just one kilometer away from the town center. There are also others such as the Sofitel Dalat Palace, built in 1922 by the French, and the Empress Hotel, located on Xuan Huong Lake with a tremendous sight.

One of the best ways to access to Dalat is through flights to Ho Chi Minh City, then take the direct bus that link the two populations. With an average temperature approaching 17 degrees Celsius, and with agriculture and tourism as its economic fundamental bases, Dalat attracts visitors each year as the city of the Eternal Spring. The fresh air of the mountains and the vividness of a unique landscape are an irreplaceable painting to outsiders for holidays.
