subject: Design A Nursery While Expecting A Baby [print this page]

Expecting a baby is the one of the most wonderful things in the world for a woman. And designing a nursery for your child is probably the second most exciting thing. Are you wondering how to make that room look special? The possibilities are endless:

Color the walls

Paint the walls of the room keeping in mind the color that you would want your child to see, and grow. Light wall colors are apt for both boys and girls. Get light or dark colored cribs, for a sophisticated finish. Use furniture, with textured laminate, compact grade laminate or compact laminates. It spells style around, with its finish and detailing. They are very rich and exude radiance.

Glam the Textiles

Glam the decor of the room by choosing bright colored bed sheets. Opt for bright solid colored sheets, or go for cute animal prints. Hang a comforter with some bright colored stars at the railing of the crib. Hang curtains around the doors and windows with a glittery effect, like rhinestones, sequins or metallic threads. Create a soft play corner on the sides of the floor. Place a brightly colored area rug shaped in an aqua theme or some cartoon characters. When your little one grows, he/she can enjoy in this room.

Furniture for the room

Before buying the furniture, you need to decide the placement of the article in the nursery. This is the room where you will be nursing the baby and storing the clothing and toys of the little one in the room. So consider furniture products, like a rocking chair, a changing table and a dresser, and lots of space for storing the toys. Style it up with textured laminate, compact grade laminate or compact laminates. Nothing can beat the style and comfort that these varieties offer. Mix and match them according to the decor of the walls. Use a changing table that can be flipped and can act as a dresser once your toddler grows. Place a reclining chair in the room and get a bookshelf with books for your late night readings with your toddler. But remember, no sharp and edgy furniture with protruding rims. This is for the safety of your child and you. So now with the room all set, wait for your toddler to arrive!
