subject: The Secret To Wedding Flowers Unlocked [print this page]

When it comes to a wedding the flowers are one of the most important factors. They brighten up the room, they set the theme, and they can make the place smell new and fresh. However, since there are so many wholesale flowers to choose from it can often become quite overwhelming. But the secret to choosing the right flowers is to look at the tried and tested varieties. What follows is just some of those varieties.

Peonies

Peonies are the perhaps the most elegant flowers around. When they are seen by guests it creates a classic look untouched by the throes of modern society. Many brides who use peonies will usually have them in a closed cut fashion for bouquets. Others will have them opened to their five-inch diameter maximum. Some brides will even combine both of them. When buying these flowers the florist should give the bride these options.

Calla Lilies

These wholesale flowers are often mistaken for white-classic bouquets. Whilst they often are used for this they can be found in many other colours. Calla lilies are favourites for beach weddings, tropical weddings, or just as way to brighten up the place. Multi-coloured floral bouquets can be used on the tables or around the room for a wondrous affect.

Hydrangea

Hydrangeas are the flowers to get if the wedding needs some volume and consistency added to it. They are often combined with other flowers and will normally be found complementing centrepieces; although they can be used as the centrepiece themselves. Admittedly, they (the white version) are a very classic type of flower and have been seen at weddings for decades, they are consistently being seen in their other colours, as well.

Roses

Roses are an obvious choice as they are the flower of love and passion. Although having weddings made entirely out of roses is normally just confined to gothic weddings these days, most brides will aim to get a few within their bouquets. What many people dont realise is that roses arent just red. Roses can be found in a variety of different colours and can be mixed and matched for a beautiful concoction of love and longevity.

Making the Choice

Even when the options are decreased its still hard to pick the flowers. Thats why its a good idea to get some pictures of them on the internet and to try and picture the locations where they would go. If nothing else is done, make sure the venue is decided upon before choosing a type of flower.
