Breast Surgery: Different Procedures

Reasons that lead women to breast augmentation:

Breast enhancement boosts a womans appearance and her self-esteem. Larger bosoms tend to connect her more to her femininity. From the sexual aspect, when a woman feels sexy rather than being embarrassed about her body, then she tends to initiate more in love-making.

Some women opt for breast enhancement after weight loss, as weight loss changes the shape and size of bosoms significantly. Several women do it in order to correct their reduced breast volume after child birth. There are others who want to balance a difference in their size of breasts or desire round, fuller bosoms.

Most commonly used method:
Breast Surgery: Different Procedures

Since long, breast implants have been often used as a form of breast enlargement. In this process, fillers such as saline or silicone are implanted in the bosoms. These implants can be implanted just under the skin or it can be sub-muscular and put firmly behind the chest wall and this is recommended to those who have bigger bosoms or need mammograms.

Side effects after the surgery:

Firstly a patient needs to know that a breast implant cannot last forever. Since it is a surgery, certain risks are always involved, and if the surgery is properly performed then there should not be any serious complications. Implant is a foreign object and its insertion in the body may arise some complications as the body might react to the foreign object. When an implant is inserted a scar capsule forms around it as a natural healing procedure. The breast might feel firmer than it normally does when the capsule sometimes tightens and compresses the implant. Capsular contracture may occur to varying degrees. If severe it can cause discomfort in the appearance of the breast. With insertion of implants a women might lose sensation in her bosom and nipple.

Fat replacement for unwanted areas to the breasts:

This is much like stem cell-assisted liposuction. Liposuction is first used to take unwanted fat from the belly. By a complex process, in a specially equipped laboratory, stem cells are extracted from a portion of the fat and added to the remaining body fat.

This fat in then put into the breasts. The major factor of this procedure is that instead of an implant a patients own fat is used. Again, this procedure helps to give the patient a slimmer waist line by draining out the excess fat. Also large incisions are not required. Moreover, you require only one sitting to get waistline results that last for more than a year.
