The common mechanical failures of electromotor mainly are the stator and rotor core, bearing, axis, etc. next, let us to analysis the each of those problem in detail.

1. Trouble shooting of stator and rotor core

The stator and rotor core are a part of magnetic circuit of electromotor, the damage and deformation of stator and rotor core are caused by the following reasons. Bearing are over wear or unfitting assembly, which causes clash between stator and rotor core, and damages the surface of core, then causes a short circuit between silicon-steel sheet. As the loss of iron of electromotor, the temperature will increase. At the time, to remove burr and eliminate short-circuited silicon-steel plates, daub the insulated paint after cleaning up, then heating and drying.

2. Trouble shooting of bearing

Axis rotates by bearing, belongs to the heaviest load part, and also easy to wear.

Inspection in working: if rolling bearings are lack of oil, it will make a loud noise. And if you hear the discontinuous noise, it may be the steel rim of bearing fall apart.

Inspection after dismounting: at first, make sure that rolling elements of bearing, the inside and outside steel rim are whether has breakage, rust, scar or not, etc.

Fault repair

the rusty spot on appearance of bearing can be wipe out by 00 number sandpaper, then clean it in gasoline; if bearing has gash, the inside and outside steel rim fall apart, the bearing over wear, at the time, should replace new bearings.

3. Trouble shooting of axis

If axis has a small bend, it can repaired by burnishing axis neck and slipping ring; if bend degree exceed 0.2mm, it can put the axis under the press machine, and pressurized correction in the bend, then furbishing. However, if axis has a large bend, need replace a new axis.

If the wear of axis is large, it can cut 2-3mm on axis neck, and make a set bucket. When iron is hot, put the bucket in axis neck, then cut it for requirement size.
