subject: How To Choose A Winter Wedding Dress [print this page]

Though the weather in winter is too old for women to wear wedding dress, there still some couples plan to hold wedding in winter and the brides insist on wearing wedding dresses. Truly, a theme wedding in winter will be more romantic if it has been designed well. While the temperature is hard to bear, choosing a right winter wedding is important.

Finding a winter wedding dress may be harder than other wedding dresses in other three seasons. But it doesn't mean that there is no hope of finding your ideal wedding dress. The trouble is that you will take more time to find the one.

As winter is a cold season, the first factor you should think when you are selecting the wedding dress is keeping you warm. Avoid short length, high-low hemline, V-neck, backless, strapless and some other styles that will expose your skin largely. You can go for the dresses with long sleeves. Long sleeves are not hard to find. You can pick the best style from the various styles.

If you still want to short sleeves or strapless style or spaghetti strapped dress, combine the dress with a bolero jacket, a shrug, a wrap or a faux fur coat. The matching is simple and elegant. The bride won't be frozen during the wedding or the reception. May some brides want to wear a jacket over the dress, but you must be practical. Being beautiful in wedding is key, but being healthy and comfortable is more important.

If the bride chooses ball-gown style, she can wear skintight trousers under the skirt. It's also a way to keep warm. Beware of the dragging dresses. If you will have an outdoor wedding and plan to wear a wedding dress with trail, take care of the weather. The weather in winter is often bad to rain or snow. The trail will be in a mess in the slush or the snow.

When choosing winter bridal wedding, fabric is another factor you should pay attention to. The fabric should be in accordance to the venue where you will hold the wedding. If your wedding is indoors, you can select a lighter fabric. If your wedding is outdoors, choose heavier fabric. Remember don't choose light or summery fabrics. It will look odd for a winter wedding. Heavier fabric, such as taffeta, brocade, satin, velvet, and velour are available choices for winter wedding dresses. Heavier material is another way to keep you warm.
