subject: Why Hiring Heaters For Marquee-style Wedding Receptions Is Now Essential [print this page]

Across the country, thousands of newly-wed couples will be going into the autumn reflecting upon their summer nuptials, hopefully having had a wonderful time on their big day. However, some may have a word of warning for others planning on tying the knot next year: if a marquee-style wedding or reception is what you are thinking of, consider hiring heaters from a good heater hire company so unpredictable can British weather be.

The father of the bride, and marquee hire companies themselves, should not be concerned about the extra expense renting heaters is surprisingly affordable as well as being quick and easy to arrange.

According to the Mail Online, this summers miserable weather has resulted in:

Millions of domestic homes being flooded out and damaged (with occupiers being moved to emergency accommodation)

Commercial businesses having to temporarily (or even permanently) close due to flooding

Entire crops of vegetables being ruined, creating shortages

The Environment Agency opening extra incident rooms and assembling larger teams to check flood defences

Major events being cancelled across the country

Torrential rain flushing raw sewage into coastal waters

A 20 per cent increase in Britons booking holidays abroad

A potential rickets epidemic in children not exposed to regular sunlight needed to produce vitamin D, and

Fatalities mostly through vehicles colliding or crashing on rain-soaked roads

April was reported to be the wettest in Britain since records began in 1910, reports the Telegraph. Throughout the summer, the Met Office has issued several amber warnings (which means 'be prepared'). Also, on the 10th of July alone, 38 flood alerts and seven standard flood warnings were issued by them.

With Britains weather becoming increasingly erratic, then, couples planning a marquee-style

wedding for 2013 should definitely consider renting heaters from a good heater rental company for their wedding or reception.

Some considerations when designing or choosing your marquee layout:

Select a marquee with an entrance-type waiting hall, with a separate doorway to the main dining area. This will provide two layers of protection between guests and the elements for the main part of the event. It will also help to decelerate the emanation of heat from the main venue.

Heaters should be placed evenly around the room one or two heaters could possibly do the job, but you might have large discrepancies between areas (with some guests overheating and other needing coats!). So, a more even distribution of heat would be best.

Go for a hard floor option in torrential weather, rain seeps off the roof and if it does not soak into the hard ground or soil it can run into the marquee coconut uneven flooring is not best placed to cope with this.

Some heaters can be set up outside the venue, with heat entering the room via ducts or pipes this means that the look and feel of the venue is not compromised, and health and safety issues are reduced.

For marquee-style weddings and receptions, only hire indirect-fired heaters direct-fired heaters circulate combustion fumes back into the room, making them unsuitable. A reputable heater hire company will be able to advise on a marquees heating requirements based on the location, position, style, volume of space, and the material of the structure.

A specialist will supply heaters that are easily adjustable there is a considerable difference between the heat required in a large empty room and one that is populated. And, remember, when the evening disco commences, the heaters may need to be turned down.
