subject: Buying Second Handed Cars From Used Car Dealers Makes Sound Sense [print this page]

The creators of vehicles would not have imagined that one day their inventions would generate more troubles than resolve them. Cars are the most underutilized inventions of all even if we ignore traffic jams and air pollution. Cars usually have the capacity to carry 3-4 people but on the majority of the cars, we find the only single person behind the wheels! This is because there is a car for each person who can afford it so sharing it is practically not always possible.

Human civilization is founded on a number of inventions right from the stone tools of prehistoric people to the robots of today. While many inventions such as computers, jet engines and tractors have proved highly beneficial by revolutionizing communication, transport and agriculture respectively, some inventions like vehicle have added to the human misery. Let us observe how.

Owing to consumer demands and their own profit motivation, car manufacturers continue adding new models almost regularly. This causes a bizarre situation in which the streets and roads remain of the same size while cars keep on increasing.

There is no straightforward answer for this huge problem. However, if a part of the population feels it can do a bit then the idea of using second handed cars can at least solve the problem to some extent. The following advantages may accrue if people begin using second handed cars.

Accessible: One can buy any car of you desire from a used car dealer while you need to wait for a specific model of a recently launched car.

Economical: Second handed cars come at a fraction of the price of new cars. Buying a new car may cost you a fortune.

Reduce Congestion: less cars means less traffic load on roads.

Save Environment: Second handed cars mean less new vehicles on roads, which means saving fuel and thereby reducing global warming.

Repairable: Contrary to general view, second hand cars work as good as new if we continue overhauling them. There are enough cars from the 1960s and 70s still running on the roads to dispel our belief that used cars are useless.

Vintage Worth: Even new cars become outmoded in few years and finish up in junkyards. Used cars, if maintained correctly, can attain a vintage or classic value and can get a higher price than its original value.

In light of the above points, buying second handed cars from used car dealer will make a sound sense.
