subject: Entertainment At Your Wedding [print this page] At your wedding reception you want all of your guests to be having a good time so they do not forget your special day. But what entertainment can keep all of your guests entertained? This can be difficult because different guests at different ages will be entertained by different things meaning you have a hard choice.
Most receptions do have a DJ and it is extremely likely that you will be looking at getting once. Picking the right DJ can be hard but if you know somebody who has recently got married it could be worth asking them who they chose for their wedding reception as their DJ may have done a good job there.
When choosing a DJ you may want to make sure what music they are going to play. Most people prefer to come up with their own playlist for their wedding or just certain songs for certain situations like the cutting of the cake, the best mans speech and other events. Some DJs bring their own lighting for the venue and this could actually save you money so you do not have to fork out for it.
DJs do not charge a lot when compared to the general service that you receive and many help you have even more fun by letting you do karaoke which some people do enjoy. Before the music starts playing make sure you know how loud you are allowed to have the music. This should also relate to the guests attending as if there are elder guests loud music will prevent them from hearing you.
Not everyone chooses to have a DJ as some prefer to have live music at the venue as this is seen to be more special. The type of band that you have a wedding should depend on the type of music that you want playing on the day, theres no point getting a band that plays rock music normally to play classical as it would sound terrible.
Make sure that the band is a specialist in the music you want so you can get the best sound possible. Before you actually book the band see if there any reviews of the band just so you can 100% sure that everything you do will go to plan on the day. Other performers could be asked to perform at your wedding like fire jugglers and belly dancers these are extraordinary for weddings.
Some people choose to have fun and games at their wedding reception instead of people just sitting around talking. A rare choice although fun is to have a photo booth set up with props so you and your guests can take funny photos during the night and then these photos can go into an album after and these will provide great memories for the day. Trivia games can be fun at the reception as you can set a theme for this so the questions have a subject; this can turn into a sort of quiz between tables which could be fun.
Keeping children entertained at weddings can be hard and if you do not do this there is a chance that they will be causing trouble at one point. There are so many way to keep theme entertained that there is no reason why you cannot do this. You could have a separate table for the children where they can have their own fun in the corner and on this table you can have fun and games for them to engage in. A bouncy castle would be a great idea for the children as these can keep the children entertained for the whole of the wedding and they do not even cost that much for the whole of the day.
A separate room or tent for children would be good as if these are filled with fun and games the children will be happy in there for the duration of your wedding. When it comes to dancing on the dance floor the children would love to join in so if you give them inflatable guitars or other items like this. In addition to this why not give the children little disposable cameras as they will most definitely enjoy copying the grown-ups by taking pictures so why not let them?
Wedding entertainment has to be varied depending on the guests you have so it is important to taker into consideration who is attending as elderly guests will not want loud music and a huge show, they will happy with calm music and a good time. So have a think about it.
